But do not despair for everyone at least once in there lifetime has to live on a budget like in college...although I didn't officially go to a brick and mortar college, I still know a thing or to about budgeting ;).
But first a thing or two about taxes, when I was younger I remember hearing the saying : The only sure thing in this life is death and taxes. Man were they right. Up until 2 years ago I was in ignorant bliss and only knew a few things about business now I have 3 years of taxes experience and am STILL learning every year, especially since this last year they changed the Tax Reform and made it even harder to scam buy extra cash which is good for the government, but makes it a bit tough on business especially small business that just barely got there stuff together--ahem.
But do not despair I got my ducks in a row... or at least I think I do, I usually do ALL the bookkeeping and tax filing but from time to time I do seek assistance from an accountant to point me in the right direction if I go astray--phew. And the last month was one of those moments, here I though I had everything figured out and it turns out I had to do even more extra steps and file more papers--sigh. I still filed everything though so I shouldn't be in trouble just need to get a handle on those extra steps before the end of the year which as of this writing is in.....less than 2 months, alright, challenge accepted gov.
Enough of my tax ramblings though.... once I checked off the taxes monkey off my to do list, I moved onto my next task, figuring out how I can get more local sales, to which people have been inquiring me If I`m going to be at this years Farmers Market?? To which I reply: Maybe :). I'm working on it. We shall see.

1) I need someone to fill in for me at the market since I already have a full time job. And figure out how much of a cut they'll be getting for doing me a ginormous favor.
2) Need to figure out how much and what I need to setup
3) Meet up with corresponding people and talk.
4)Figure out how much I`m going to be selling, check inventory, etc, etc.
5) Go bananas!
I'm considering doing a "trunk show" at some cool boutiques I admire and maybe work consignment with some Spas in town y'all should be happy to hear that I have sold to a few spas now, so that's always good to have as a seller reference sheet.
Speaking of sheets I got some work I need to do in Google docs.
Aside from biz and tax ramblings and being excited about the new Farmers Market coming up soon... Im preparing myself for the madness of my day job as well--I run the family restaurant, a little burger, pizza joint. It gets preeeeettty crazy around Nov-March.
SO lots on my plate not to mention a few Indy film co-lab offers as well. Yep it feels good when people appreciate your work and want you for things, I feel like I finally have a purpose to try and better the world. Yay!
Oh before I forget..yes a few budgeting tips that I practice on a daily basis:
-Save at least 10-20% of what you make on a daily or weekly basis and stash it away in a coffee can or and envelope you won't be temped to get into much other wise what's the point?
-Prioritize everything!
-Make lists or get an agenda/datebook, it`s a life saver or if you have a smartypants phone then get an app or something what do I know -- I don't have a smart phone, but I used to :(.
-If you have a checking account or credit card, pay off everything you owe right away or square off your balance.
-Don´t let bills pile up, pay what you can when you can but try to pay them within a week, that way you got one monkey off your back and any left over cash, splurge of a cupcake or something.
-Ask friends and family for advice when in doubt or use the old Google.
Last but not least I read all these books in the last 3 weeks you should totally check them out if you love the vegan diet or just eating healthy and want to save the environment and be a better person and also save yourself from like cancer or you want to open up a handmade biz on Etsy or in town Check those books out!!
